 iobhàn Wittig McPhee<br /></strong>My role as an educator in the Educationa
 l Leadership Stream at UBC\, is one of being a facilitator for students lea
 rning. I view my role as an academic and an educator to encourage students 
 and to equip them with the tools they need for their success both academica
 lly and more broadly. My interdisciplinary background provides me with the 
 capability to explore and deliver alternative and engaging approaches to kn
 owledge acquisition in my role as a geography educator.</p><p>I work to dev
 elop alternative modes of delivery of Geography content\, involving develop
 ing online tools\, activities and experiential learning techniques. My area
 s of educational research include location-aware technologies\, augmented r
 eality\, and alternative methods of knowledge mobilization\, especially wit
 h application to the internationalization of pedagogy. My geography specifi
 c research focuses on experiential learning in the discipline\, and to the 
 use of interactive place-based digital storytelling as a means to generate 
 empathy and engagement in social justice. As a teacher and researcher invol
 ved in geographical education I am responsive and resourceful in order to r
 espond creatively to the changing nature of global processes and of interna
 tional education.</p><p><strong><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-21888 a

 >Dr. Micheal Jerowsky<br /></strong>Dr. Micheal Jerowsky is a community-bas
 ed researcher specializing in the application of emerging technologies in e
 nvironmental education. He is committed to integrating innovative tools and
  platforms into the classroom to enhance students' digital literacy and pre
 pare them for success in today's world. Dr. Jerowsky believes that when app
 lied effectively\, these technologies can foster more flexible and accessib
 le learning environments\, enabling students to learn at their own pace and
  in ways that best suit their individual needs. Currently\, he serves as an
  Educational Technologist with UBC Arts ISIT and a Sessional Instructor in 
 UBC’s Geography Department.</p><p><em><strong>This is hybrid event hosted i
