 ay of bringing her extraordinary research in political ecology to a wider a
 udience. Over the last summer a number of geographers have been working wit
 h two creative fiction writers to take Karen’s vision forward by writing ou
 r own short stories. We will be reading these stories in a public workshop/
 symposium on Friday and Saturday. All interested in hearing the outcome of 
 this process\, and the movement between social scientific and creative writ
 ing are most welcome to attend.</p><p>We gratefully acknowledge the support
