About
Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil
I’m a political economist interested in the issues of urban and regional economic development, varieties and variegations of capitalism, geographies of underdevelopment, and neoliberalization processes. My current research is focused on the development of urban and regional theories, especially the dialogue between the Global North and the Latin American socio-spatial thinking. I’m particularly concerned to explore the methodological challenges associated with comparative studies under contemporary capitalism.
