Congratulations to Associate Professor of Teaching Nina Hewitt who received the 2024/25 UBC Geography Student Association Spirit Award. Bestowed upon “a faculty member who goes above and beyond to inspire & uplift students, fostering a vibrant & inclusive community through their passion & dedication”; (and a “vote for best prof”) by the GSA. Nina received the Spirit Award at the March 14 Geo Gala ceremony.
