Congratulations to MSc Student Joey Lee who has won a Mozilla Fellowship for Science! He is one of only four fellows this year, chosen from a competitive group of 130 people. In his words:
“As a Mozilla Science Fellow I will be working within the UBC community to help promote open science, open research, and in particular, science communication. To do this, I will help develop resources around the technologies that facilitate openness in science – from data sharing, coding and code sharing, and, visualization and media which help make science available to the broader community. The fellowship will support my work in generating interest and participation in science as well as provide me with resources and training to make these things happen. I hope through “computation and collaboration” I will be able to bring some new insight to UBC and the places that are being affected by our research.”
