About

Pursuing a Master of Science Degree

Research Areas: Climate: Science, Change, Action; Water, Ice, Landscapes

Supervisor: Dr. McKenzie Kuhn

Degrees: Bachelor of Science (UBC)

Entry Date: September 2024

Research Statement: My research seeks to understand how aquatic vegetation alters Boreal-Arctic Carbon lake emissions. I will be studying this in two Kaska lakes (Northern BC), helping to not only establish baseline data to understand how warming alters lake composition and function, but also what this potentially means for our current understanding of total Carbon budgets in Northern systems which frequently don’t incorporate vegetation.
